Tender One Pan Veal Kebabs

These sheet pan veal kebabs are juicy, flavourful and come together so quickly. The veal marinates overnight with yogurt, spices, fried onions and raw papaya which helps tenderize the meat and keeps the kebabs incredibly moist.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
3 tbsp raw papaya paste
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp red chili powder
1 ½  tbsp besan (gram or chickpea flour)
5 tbsp mustard oil
2 cups plain yogurt
1 ½  cups fried onions
2 lb Ontario veal strips

 

Instructions:

Mix everything together and marinate overnight. Spread onto a sheet pan, pour 1/3 cup oil on top and bake at 300°F for 45 minutes.

Mix, add another 1/2 cup oil, and bake again at 300°F for 45 minutes until tender and caramelized.

Serve with warm naan, sliced onions and chutney as part of your Eid spread.
